The Fiat, Lapis Lazuli and Aventurine Gemstone Handmade Catholic Rosary

Lapis Lazuli , also known as the “heaven stone”, was selected to represent the Blessed Virgin Mary. Did you know many paintings in the Middle Ages and Renaissance used Lapis Lazuli pigment for the gown of the Virgin Mary. Lapis Lazuli comes in many variations of blue. For this rosary small Denim Lapis lazuli gems, with their glacier, soft, blue-gray shades was chosen for the Hail Mary beads. The Our Father beads are made of faceted blue Aventurine gems. Smaller Denim Lapis beads were added to accentuate the beauty of the Aventurine.

The fleur-de-lis centerpiece, titled “The Fiat”, has images of the Miraculous Medal of the Virgin Mary, St Therese of Lisieux and St Bernadette. A medal of the angel Gabriel was added as a reminder of Gabriel’s words to the Virgin Mary, “Hail full of grace”,(Luke 1:28), and the Virgin Mary’s whole-hearted yes: “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word.” (Luke1:38). The crucifix is die-cast and represents forgiveness with the image of the Holy Spirit on the bottom. On the back are images of the four basilicas of Rome.
